
Week after week, David Cook seems to be nailing his song choices and executing them perfectly to match his branded rockstar personality. Ever wonder where he gets his inspiration for crafting such unique arrangements? Well Idol fans already know that Cook’s Day Tripper last week was the Whitesnake’s version, at least he openly admitted that. But the rock-the-house quality of his previous performance such as Eleanor Rigby and Hello have actually been performed by other rockers before. The former was by an underground Seattle band called Doxology, while Incubus sang the Lionel Richie classic in one of its concerts with the same composition as David had used.
